Assistant Director, Career Education & Advising

Zhanar Imanbaeva serves as the Assistant Director for the Career Education and Advising team. Prior to joining the Career Development Office, Zhanar served as a director of an education team working in mental health. She has experience with career and education advising, leadership/management, and mental health informed career support. She supports the advising team and helps to ensure the delivery of career education programs that are relevant and timely.

Zhanar graduated from The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Psychology. She is passionate and dedicated to helping others achieve the goals they set for themselves. Zhanar values integrity, excellence, her Kazakh culture, and contributing to an equitable environment in her community. She enjoys helping others, running, painting, and spending time with her niece and nephews.
