This is a general Infosession, hosted by EDF R, with several participating MBA programs.
EDF R is a leading developer of renewable energy projects and renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on development, ownership, and operation of Solar, Wind, other unique renewable energy generating assets. Based in San Diego, EDF R is part of the EDF Group and has regional offices in Denver, Portland, Oakland, Minneapolis, Brooklyn, and Houston. We're currently 1200+ employees strong and very focused on retaining the right talent to help us grow in the complex and ever changing world of renewable energy.
This is the RTP's eleventh year and we are proud of the impact our classes have made on our business as a whole. We are pleased to offer this opportunity to you as one, among a short list, of targeted Masters' programs!
A little about the program:
It is a two year commitment and is roughly structured around four, six-month, rotations.
* The first year, RTP Associates rotate at the company headquarters in San Diego, California, in two of several opportunities including project finance, asset operations, valuations & transactions, origination, innovation or program management. The goal is to build a strong foundation in industry fundamentals of: modeling, market analysis, in transmission analysis, negotiation, financial and deal structuring, and other corporate focused roles.
* The second year, RTP Associates may be put out into the field and exposed to regional development, construction management, and operations and maintenance. The goal during this time is to help RTP Associates get as much exposure to the "real world" of energy development as possible, exposing them to the basics of permitting, land acquisition, transmission and interconnection, community relations, operations and maintenance, and similar field related areas.
After completing the program, our expectation is that RTP Associates will be hired directly into one of the business units or support groups they worked with during their time in the program.
