Our MWT Interns complete a 10-week internship program tailored to their assigned area of the business – Manufacturing, Warehousing, Transportation, or Electronic Fulfillment Center (EFC). To support you during your leadership journey with H-E-B, you will be paired with a highly regarded Intern Coordinator and Intern Mentor during the experience. MWT Intern development will be delivered by leveraging a combination of in-person learning at an assigned facility, a digital training plan utilizing the iDevelop platform, coffee chats with Senior Leaders, access to facility and store tours, and the ability to network with other influential H-E-B Leaders. In addition, Interns will be assigned a significant business project where they will have the ability to showcase their knowledge and share recommendations in presentations to H-E-B Leadership.
Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as necessary):
-You will work approximately 40 hours a week in a business unit located at the H-E-B Corporate Headquarters or the Manufacturing, Warehousing and Transportation facilities.
-You will receive a company overview, leadership development training, and exposure to Senior Leadership
-In addition to practical, on-the-job training you will be challenged with assignments and projects relevant to your store location or region
-Those assignments will culminate in a final presentation to the Business Leaders at the conclusion of your internship
-You will receive a final evaluation to assess your performance, to review goals, and to discuss future career paths
-Upon successful completion of your first internship, you may be considered to continue in the program for subsequent internships
