About Heritage Operating Partners
Heritage Operating Partners (“HOP”) is an innovative new private equity firm designed to execute on an investment model known as a Search Fund. HOP has recently raised $50m+ of capital from institutions, public and private company CEOs, entrepreneurs, business authors and other business leaders around the country. HOP’s goal is to acquire one single company, build a value creation plan and then enter as the CEO of said company and execute on the valuation creation plan.
The Associate Role
Each Associate intern is paired with an undergraduate and as a team will assist in developing industry theses, lead generation, evaluating investment opportunities and connecting with business owners. Associates may be responsible for overseeing 1-3 interns in addition to managing day to day operations including recruiting, trainings, and ad hoc projects.
HOP’s principal has worked in investment banking, private equity and the hedge fund industry. There may be an opportunity to continue working full time at HOP or its portfolio companies post internship however HOP is happy to train it’s associates to enter into any of the other high finance fields referenced above.
Requirements
- Commitment of 20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must obtain work authorization in the USA at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
- Strong quantitative, analytical and research skills
- Thrive in a small team, startup environment
- Interest in private equity and entrepreneurship
- Fluency in English, both oral and written form
