Our MBA Leadership Development Program (LDP) can propel your management career in the right direction by giving you meaningful responsibility in strategic areas of a Company undergoing an exciting transformation. The LDP offers an opportunity to combine your professional background, academic skills and knowledge of our business gained through formal and on-the-job trainings to move toward a management career at Kemper. Throughout the program you will have ongoing professional development, interaction with senior management and challenging assignments with Kemper throughout the United States, headquartered in Chicago, IL.
Assignments will be across functional areas and business units depending on track, developing your strengths and knowledge about our business. While learning the business, you will use your project management and consulting skills to take on actual roles within Kemper that have significant impact on the way we do business, gain functional skills through working in either Product Management, Sales and Distribution, Pricing and Strategic Planning, or Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Corporate Development or Treasury and develop management skills through continuous professional development.
After the end of each year in the program, you’ll work closely with your Executive Advisor to identify the next year’s assignment that will help meet you career interests and support the needs of the business.
Incorporating three assignments over the course of three years, averaging one year per assignment, the program allows MBA LDPs to work across multiple Strategic Business Units within Kemper. This ensures that every LDP graduates the program with extensive knowledge of Kemper, our strategic direction and a clear understanding of how we do business.
