Role Description
We are looking for an exceptional and experienced professional to work with a team of high performing CPA’s in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment. This is a fulltime role for a Tax Manager. The selected candidate will be expected to manage a portfolio of tax work for individuals, corporations and partnerships, manage and mentor a team of professionals, deliver exceptional results, problem-solve with a diverse group of professionals, manage and cultivate client relationships and help grow and expand the firm.
Role Responsibilities
- Providing clients with high quality tax service and advice
- Facilitating all aspects of a client engagement and life-cycle, including managing the employees who work on the engagement and providing value to clients
- Facilitating effective flow of communication with the team to ensure coordinated effort to meet tax season client obligations and deadlines • Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, corporations, shareholder corporations and partnerships
- Reviewing client financial statements and performing related accounting functions including making corrections and adjustments
- Preparing income tax projections and assist client’s with tax strategies
- Keeping abreast of updated IRS government deadlines, laws, and regulations
- Providing feedback, direction and mentorship to team members
- Marketing and promoting the firm, including engaging with potential clients
Education and General Requirements
- CPA License
- 5-8 years of public accounting experience which includes managing and planning business and personal tax client engagements
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now and in the future
