Role Responsibilities
- Support product development teams in design, conducting experiments, data acquisition and analysis, troubleshooting, assembly and fabrication of prototypes and equipment.
- Gain medical device design & development experience such as concept generation, detail design, GD&T, Finite Element Analysis, design verification & validation and documentation.
- Perform product testing, experimentation, interpreting data results and recommending next steps to support product design.
- Operate commercial and proprietary testing equipment to perform structural and functional evaluations for tensile, compression and torsional testing.
- Use advanced 3D X Ray/CT scanning equipment to capture and analyze digital data.
- Work collaboratively with design/product engineers and technicians in a regulated, quality focused environment.
- Good documentation practices, including writing test protocols, generating final reports, and documenting meeting minutes.

- Design custom test fixtures or automation tools to support non-destructive dimensional analysis.
- Perform root cause investigations independently, present findings & recommend solutions to cross functional teams.
- Support design reviews, risk assessments, and requirements analysis for medical devices.
- Perform design engineering as well as reverse engineering activities as part of medical devices product development.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering
- Ability to perform hands-on laboratory work in an engineering lab.
- Will be working on design verification, validation & testing of medical devices.
