Position Summary:
Seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join a team focused on people, development and making an impact on a dynamic, growing, innovative business! This Sr. Financial Analyst will play a meaningful role in the Cell Biology Business Unit, which falls within Thermo Fisher’s Biosciences Division, is a dynamic, growing, innovative business with over $1B+ in annual revenue. Responsibilities include running key operating mechanisms such as forecasting, reporting, long-term planning, data insight and foresight, as well as partnering with the leadership team to craft the future of Cell Biology. Key Responsibilities:

Partner with the Protein Expression & Delivery and Cell & Gene Therapy leadership teams, providing financial insight and recommendations to deliver financial objectives and advance long-term strategies

Support operating mechanisms including STRAP, AOP, revenue forecasting, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews at business segment level

Collaborate with the product management and R&D teams on the NPI models and to develop a robust product pipeline to improve growth and profitability

Active P&L and cash flow management with a focus on predictability, timely execution of project spending and balancing risks and opportunities

Develop return on investment analysis within the BU and develop financial scenarios and models to optimally move strategy to action

Demonstrate FP&A role model leadership with timely, accurate, and valuable information
-
Responsible for the implementation of the business’s data strategy to provide users with meaningful information to drive decision making
-
Embrace continuous improvement approach focused on automation, operational improvement, and elevating business partnership

Develops high quality effective presentations (i.e., engaging, motivating, concise, well-prep).

Support other initiatives, special projects, requests and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
-
5+ years of professional experience in the finance/accounting fields
-
Strong leadership, problem solving, and a team first mentality
-
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
-
Systems experience preferred, including, but not limited to: EDW, Hyperion Planning
-
Knowledge of PowerBI or Business Intelligence Tools
-
Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to interpret and summarize financial analysis results in a clear, concise, and accurate manner

Demonstrates strong discernment and ability to influence

Ability to navigate a matrix organization and confidence to interact with all levels of the organization

Desire to formulate and drive improvements in execution, with confidence to challenge the status quo
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,000.00-$171,000.00.
