Job Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Acquisitions & Development Intern to gain exposure to the full real estate investment lifecycle. This role provides hands-on experience across acquisitions, ground-up development, leasing strategy, and construction management, offering a comprehensive view of how real estate deals are sourced, executed, and brought to market.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquisitions
- Support underwriting of potential investments, including financial modeling and return analysis
- Conduct market research, comparable analysis, and due diligence on target assets
- Assist in preparing investment memoranda and presentations for internal review
- Track deal pipelines and support transaction execution
Development
- Assist with feasibility analysis, budgeting, and project planning for new developments
- Support coordination with architects, consultants, and municipal stakeholders
- Monitor development timelines, milestones, and project costs
- Contribute to development strategy and site evaluation
Leasing
- Support leasing efforts, including market research and tenant targeting
- Assist in preparing leasing materials and presentations
- Track leasing activity, pipeline, and occupancy metrics
- Coordinate with brokers and prospective tenants
Construction Management
- Assist in overseeing construction progress, budgets, and schedules
- Support coordination with general contractors and vendors
- Help review project updates, invoices, and change orders
- Participate in site visits and progress reporting
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree or a recent graduate in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong organizational and quantitative skills
- Interest in real estate investing, development, and capital markets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; financial modeling experience preferred
- Strong interest in real estate private equity or development
