Corporate & Investment Banking delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
The Leveraged Finance team is responsible for the origination and structuring of both bank and bond deals. This group works closely with the Sponsor community in originating deals as well as through Wells Fargo corporate relationships.
The Associate will work closely with Vice Presidents, Directors and MD’s in the execution of deals and helping win mandates. Candidate should possess a 4-year degree with an emphasis in business related studies, and preferably an MBA.
As a junior associate, the candidate should have 1-2 years experience in investment banking activities. Ideally candidates will have experience with the bank and bond products through prior transactions or pitching opportunities as well as experience working with corporate clients and the Sponsor community. Prior left side deal experience is strongly preferred. Required skills would include advanced accounting and financial analysis, excellent verbal and written communications skills, and excellent computer skills, particularly Excel and Word. Strong work ethic and “team player” attitude are a must. Position available in Charlotte or San Francisco.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Other Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance.
