Job Description

Whitebox is seeking to hire a credit analyst in its Austin, Texas office to assist in analyzing investment opportunities in Leveraged Loans for its CLO platform.  The credit analyst’s daily responsibilities will include the following:

–          Analyze, recommend and monitor credit investments focusing on Leveraged Loans through both primary and secondary markets

–          Evaluate company fundamentals and industry trends, key operating metrics, business quality, competitive positioning, and valuation

–          Perform detailed financial modeling and analysis along with required due diligence on corporate debt issuers

–          Analyze credit agreements, indentures and other relevant legal and regulatory issues related to the issuers

–          Develop and present investment theses and recommendations to the investment committee  

Requirements

–          Comprehensive and detailed understanding of accounting and the underlying relationships

–          Financial modeling and accounting expertise

–          Experience or passion for investment analysis
